Selly Park Baptist Church
A Church for the whole community
Platinum Jubilee Street Party
Saturday 4 June 1.00 – 4.00 pm in Selly Park Girls school car park.
A joint event between SPBC and Christ Church.
Once a month we share communion (breaking of bread) together to which all are invited. There is crèche for under-4 yr olds and special classes for children aged 4-15 years.
We also have a designated room which provides a quieter space for prayer and counselling. The service is followed each week by refreshments and on special occasions we share lunch together.
(Currently we ‘live stream’ our service at 10.30am every Sunday on the church’s Facebook page)
What we believe
We are an evangelical Baptist church who believes the Bible was inspired by God and reveals His plan to bring everyone into a living relationship with Himself. This is possible through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who through his death and resurrection opened up the way for any person to embark on this relationship.
We believe the Holy Spirit is also God and enters the life of anyone who puts their trust in Jesus. The church is the community of Christian believers who live to worship, serve and follow Jesus.
Baptism is the outward sign of the new life that we enter into when we become a Christian.
Our activities, events and services are open to everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs or values.
